Had the most fantastic weekend away with a group of old friends here- loads of space to hang out and comfy armchairs... for fireside board games in the evenings. Right on the sea and amazing homegrown and cooked food from Gilly !read more
We have rented Dunworley house on two separate occasions. The big house is the perfect place for a family reunion,... luxurious couches in the giant drawing room, complete with roaring fire, large windows and high ceilings- Gorgeous bedrooms with comfortable beds, and the fantastic conservatory which had plenty of room for our large group for dinner, with grapevines growing overhead and lights twinkling. There’s a large, professional cooker in the kitchen, which makes it easier to cook for a big group. Do yourself a favour and ask the hosts (Gilly and Richard) to cook for you for a night- Gilly’s a wonderful cook, and uses produce from her organic garden. We had the most incredible birthday dinner served to us in the conservatory. I can’t say enough about what a perfect place Dunworley house is (did I mention that the beach is a stone’s throw away?)and we will definitely be renting it again!read more

Our group had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dunworley Cottage. It was everything that we had hoped and more. The... cottage is well equipped with all amenities (washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, music speaker! etc), and decorated with lots of rustic and antique items that make its feel more like a home away from home than an empty, sterile guesthouse. It’s cosy and warm and fits 6 comfortably, and there are views of the beautiful cow-dotted fields from of the upstairs rooms. The cottage has a beautiful little garden, with trailing roses growing up the outside of the house and a lovely lush green grassed lawn at the front perfect for kids playing, lying in the sun or to have a meal / tea / coffee outside on the picnic table. The beds are super comfy, with good quality linens and soft clean towels. Dunworley Beach is stunning, and is only a 4 minute walk down the hill from the house with beautiful swims at low tide and there are great walks, pubs and restaurants in the area within 15/20 mins drive of the cottage. Gilly and Richard were the perfect hosts and helped us with all that we needed. When we arrived there were fresh salad leaves from their amazing organic kitchen garden in the fridge and eggs from their hens, as well as a many other goodies - we felt so welcome and had the most relaxing and dreamy stay!read more
Beautiful cottage truly located in 'hidden Ireland'. The cottage charmed us upon entry with eggs from the garden for... breakfast (even a couple of beers after a long journey down!) and other nice thoughts which instantly made us welcome. Very lucky to catch a stunning day (2nd Jan) where we followed Gilly on a walk through her neighbour's private farmland to 'the tower' (next stop America). Gilly cooked us a fantastic 3 course dinner in her pop-up restaurant with meats from the local butcher in Clonakilty and all the veg from the garden - not a scrap was left. Thank you Gilly, Richard (and all the family) for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage and the many experiences we will fondly remember.read more
